- Celine Dion

Sad news for Celine Dion's fans. The songstress' husband anounced that "they are no longer expecting a child". Celine got pregnant through an in vitro experience and was supposed to give birth in May. She has an 8 year-old son, named Reene-Charles, but last year she also revealed that she would love to extend the family... These are really sad news and I bet the whole family is heartbroken. However, I believe that Celine (and her family) will be strong enough to let go of this and continue to create awesome music as she always does. I personally love her music style and my favorite tracks are "Because You Love Me" and Titanic's soundtrack, "My Heart Will Go On". Keep strong Dion =)

- Sorín

As some of you should know, last Wednesday was Sorín's last game. Not only for Cruzeiro, but for his whole career. "With 62.400 fans present in Mineirão, Sorín entered in camp for his last time with the blue shirt against Argentino Juniors (the team that revealed him) won by Cruzeiro by 2 to 1" (Globoesporte). As a player who made history in the blue team, Sorín, deservedly, had his foot modeled for the 'Calçada da Fama do Mineirão'. He also won a card which will aloud him to be present at all games, for free. In addition, while the players were warming up, the Brazilian band 'Skank', led by the Cruzeirense vocal Samuel Rosa, played to cheer the crowd up. Gabriel O Pensador (another musician) also was there singing.

During the first half, Sorín played all the 45 minutes for the blue team. He also had two chances of scoring a goal, but the ball went out. When the second half started, he was playing for Argentinos Juniors, but he continued with the bottom part of the uniform of Cruzeiro. Finally, at 15 of the second half, Sorín was going to play again, and for the last time, for Cruzeiro. It was both sad and happy at the same time... And Sorín left the field saying that it "was wonderful to end up here. I love this team. It means so much to me." Aww hahaha I'm glad to say 'We are going to miss you' =')

PS: The whole money raised for this game went to charity, so did the food (some of the tickets could be bought by exchanging 2kg of non-perishable food).

- A True Competition

Today's post was supposed to be about Brazilian's entertainment, football, and mostly about Sorín's (Cruzeiro's player) last game. However, I will leave it for the next post because today there is something making me go crazy. As most of you should know, the Brazilian Championship is already ending and the champion isn't defined yet... Not only the champion but also those who are going to the Libertadores 2010. The table starts with the leader São Paulo, with 59 points and right after is Palmeiras with only one point of difference. Then it is Atlético MG (56), Flamengo(54), Internacional (52) and my favorite, Cruzeiro(51). Even though being the leader is the most important at this phase of the competition, being part of the G4 (the top 4) is extremely essential. Cruzeiro really needs to win today’s game against Sport to be classified. The same for Inter, which will play tomorrow against Barueri.

As a Cruzeirense, I am absolutely nervous about today’s game. Even though my team has the greatest percentage in winning outside home, it will be a tough game. Sport will be fighting to leave the Z4 (bottom 4) and Cruzeiro needs to keep in mind the G4. In addition, Cruzeiro also has three great players injured, making us, Cruzeiro’s fans, go insane about it. On the other hand, we finally have Kleber, our Gladiator, back from a surgery… Again, this game is making me crazy ! I really hope, with all my heart, that my team wins today. With today's victory and tomorrow's Flamengo's loss, Cruzeiro will finally be part of the G4. “Vamos vamos Cruzeiro, Cruzeiro guerreiro, Cruzeiro meu amor…”
